Time to put the feet up, well at least for the rest of the day. All the garlic has now been mulched, which is a huge weight off our shoulders. We can now sit back and enjoy the next few months, as all the hard work is finished. Apart from watering the garlic, there really is little work to be done, until those dreaded weeds start to poke through.
Another planting done and dusted! What a feeling of relief. If you have ever planted a substantial amount of garlic, you will appreciate how good it feels to plant the last clove. At least this year my wonderful husband Mark helped me on the odd occasion. I think I put him to shame last year when I mentioned on live radio that he managed to plant one clove. Little does everyone know that he really is the backbone of the business and I couldn't do it without him.
